Gymnastics in P.E

During February, as part of our work towards securing an active flag, we are doing gymnastics in p.e each week. Here we are perfecting some of our balances.....

1916 rising

In history we are learning about the 1916 rising and the lead up to it. We are finding it very interesting and are also in the middle of completing a project based on it. Here are some pictures of the work we have completed so far......

Claude Monet-colour blending

We studied the French artist Claude Monet in art class. We focused specifically on his colour blending technique and his famous painting 'Bridge over a pond of water lillies'. First, we used tape to create the bridge shape and then we used our fingers to blend different colours to create the paintings.

Making rain gauges for Discover Primary Science

We made rain gauges as part of our Discover Primary Science programme

Making St. Brigids crosses

We were very busy on the 1st of February making crosses.

We made lovely Christmas tree decorations for our houses at Christmas.
